Olympics, b-ball, and other s**t...

1. I love the Olympics. Especially when we win :) I think NBC's coverage sucks though...

2. My friend Brian smoked me today in 2 games of 1 on 1. I have to redeem myself

3. Why do the garbage truck and the recycling truck not only arrive separately, but hours (or days) apart? Wouldn't it be more efficient to have one truck with separate compartments for trash and recyclables?

4. Crispy Hexagons has to be the greatest cereal name of all time. I can't even believe that this name even exists... I wish I could've been at the boardroom table when they were kicking around ideas... "What should we name this stuff?" "Oh, I don't know, how about Crunchies?" "No, let's call it Grain Crisps" "No, that's boring. How about Crispo's?" "Wait, I've got it! They have 6 sides, right?" "Yes....." "And they're crispy, right??" "Yyyesssss.......... wait a minute, I think I know where you're going with this...." "Oh, you bet you do! Crispy.............." "HEXAGONS!!!!!!!!!" "My God, that's GENIUS!!!!!!"

Missing...

Alex is leaving Tuesday morning... I am really gonna miss her and don't like the thought of being without her here for 6 weeks.

Credit card companies suck...

Alex and I were robbed about a week ago... in Laughlin, NV - the most god-forsaken shithole on earth. We woke up around 8:30am to find our wallet, purse, cell phone, IDs, keys, etc stolen. Right after calling security (joke) we started calling the banks and credit card companies to cancel everything. Yet, these d-bag thieves were able to use our Capital One card at 6:30pm that evening... wtf?? It took Capital One over 10 hours to actually freeze the stolen card from the time we called. Their answer? We're sorry... it shouldn't have taken that long.

Feeling a bit better...

Been down for a few days after the robbery, it's been a tough situation and no one is really helping. Bank, police, hotel, DMV, all don't seem to care much and aren't doing much to help us get back on track. But we've taken care of as much as possible on our own, and all of the most important stuff we've been able to accomplish. 

I just heard some music on another blog that made me feel better, it was some kind of Japanese orchestral piece, with a cello, really soothing.

Now I'm starting to feel more normal, and looking forward to The Hangover opening this weekend. The big premiere is right here in las Vegas! Not that I'm invited or anything, but it will be cool to see the movie and see myself in different places...
